The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:
The excavations revealed a buried medieval ploughsoil covering substantial earlier Romano-British ditches, the latter possibly representing several phases of an enclosure dateable to two distinct phases of pottery dumping circa. 1st-2nd century AD. This implied Romano-British or Roman occupation within the close vicinity, perhaps associated with a nearby farmstead or settlement. [Au(abr)]
