Abstract:
Archaeological monitoring of construction work revealed a probable 2nd century Roman ditch and two small pits beneath a Roman occupation soil. These features and deposits undoubtedly related to the Roman small town centred to the immediate south-west of the site. The monitoring had extended the confirmed area of Roman activity associated with the small town. [Au]
