Abstract: |
A geophysical and topographical survey was carried out by GUARD Archaeology Limited on behalf of Flodden 1513 Ecomuseum Limited over locations associated with the Battle of Flodden. The field to the south of Norham Castle contained earthworks, 'intrenchments' and sixteenth century buildings depicted on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, as well as a possible artillery emplacement and two large areas of magnetic disturbance. |
