Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out by GUARD Archaeology Limited, on behalf of Serene Life Ltd on an area proposed for the construction of housing at Lanark Road, Headspoint, to the south of Carluke within South Lanarkshire. The trial trench evaluation consisted of a series of 29 trenches varying in length between 35 m - 50 m and totalling 8% of the total area proposed for development. No features of archaeological significance were encountered within the trenches. |
