Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during works associated with the reconstruction of existing steps in the area of Hogg's Mount that forms the northeast corner of Castle Green. The steps link Mill Street with a path that runs along the top of the ramparts that enclose Castle Green. The intrusion by the construction works was minimal, but archaeological deposits relating to the defensive rampart of Hereford Castle were encountered. |
