Abstract: |
Ralph Bank House was a derelict Swaledale farmhouse dating back to the 17th century. Planning Consent reference R/05/49A was granted on 4 September 2012 by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) for repairs, alterations and rebuilding to form a new dwellinghouse. The Consent was granted subject to conditions which included provision for a scheme for recording or preserving any archaeological deposits or fabric which may be affected by the approved works. Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Archaeology Group (SWAAG) was commissioned by the owners of the property to undertake a Watching Brief the scope of which was defined in a Written Scheme of Investigation approved by YDNPA. |
