Abstract: |
An evaluation (ECB3335) consisting of five trial trenches was carried out, followed by an open area excavation (ECB3355). The site is bound on the western side by a Sea bank constructed during the Late Saxon to medieval periods. The sea bank was investigated and revealed the edge of what may be the original ditch and layers made up to create the bank. Pottery recovered dates to the 11th-14th centuries. Ditches and pits were also uncovered dating to this period. |
