Abstract: |
An Archaeological watching brief at Kingston College, Richmond Road, Kingston-Upon-Thames consisted of the monitoring of a variety of groundworks including foundation trenches, pile cap locations, drainage runs and a lift shaft associated with the college extension development. Natural sands and gravels were sealed by natural brickearth within the deeper excavated lift shaft location. Throughout the rest of the watching brief area natural brickearth was exclusively encountered. This was sealed across the entire area by 21st century deposits represent the current ground level. |
