Abstract: |
An archaeological trench evaluation was undertaken by AC archaeology in September 2012 on land at Blatchworthy Farm, Near Tiverton, Devon (NGR SS 89808 16951). The work was undertaken in support of a planning application for the installation of PV solar farm and associated infrastructure. A total of six trenches were excavated. Part of a ring ditch associated with a roundhouse was exposed together with a posthole, from which was recovered a flint core. A single (residual) sherd of Bronze Age pottery was recovered.Other features included elements of probable medieval filed boundary ditches. |
