Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment for a proposal to erect two agricultural buildings on land at Upper House Farm, Upton Cressett, Shropshire. The proposed development site comprised agricultural land on the western side of the existing farm complex. The site lies 200m to the northeast of the site of the deserted medieval settlement of Upton Cressett, which includes two Scheduled Ancient Monuments and three Grade I Listed Buildings. The assessment found that the proposed development was not expected to have any direct physical impact on any archaeological feature or heritage asset, but might have a minor indirect impact on the setting of some of the neighbouring designated heritage assets. This impact could be reduced by mitigation measures. |
