Abstract: |
Investigation and recording of structural remains of 18th-20th century date. Earliest elements derived from 18th century ironworks owned by Sir Ambrose Crowley. 19th century elements from later versions of the ironworks, and the Northumberland Paper Mills, which dates from the 1890s. The ironworks buildings recorded were the 'Wharf Building' and the 'Half Forge Building', the latter including remains of a puddling furnace chimney. |
