Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on land at 24 Leighton Drive, Barrow-in-Furness. The site is situated to the north edge of the village of North Scale. Two evaluation trenches were excavated revealing a stone built drain sealed below a thick deposit of re-deposited clay and a thin layer of gravel in each trench. No finds were recovered pre-dating the post-medieval period. |
