Abstract:		 Between the 15th and 25th of October 2007 CAM ARC conducted an archaeological evaluation on a proposed foul sewer route on the west side of Papworth Everard, between Cow Brook and St. Peter's Church. A total of 110m of trial trenching was excavated to the north-west of the church, lying between 35mOD at the bottom of the slope and 43mOD close to the brow of the hill. Evidence for Late Saxon and Early medieval activity, in the form of ditches and a cobbled surface, was identified and recorded. On higher ground to the south of the Church a Medieval hollow way was found as well as evidence for Medieval or Post Medieval enclosure.
