Abstract: |
Seventeen trial trenches were excavated to inform the proposed construction of a business park on land at Gwash Valley, Stamford. Traces of Romano-British activity were identified, with a particular concentration in the south-east corner of the site. The activity was recorded as a number of linear features, thought to represent former drainage ditches and possible flood defences, adjacent to the River Gwash. |
