Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was conducted by Liverpool Museum Field Archaeology Unit on behalf of Scott Wilson at the Liverpool Digital site, Edge Lane, Liverpool. The project consisted of the monitoring of the removal of overburden prior to redevelopment of the site and aimed to locate remains associated with Edge Lane Hall, a building shown on historic mapping of the area. Most of the deposits found related to the later use of the site as a depot and included surfaces paved with setts and incorporating tramlines. The only features which may have related to the Hall was a small stone lined pit and short sections of stone wall, both of which probably belonged to associated out-buildings. |
