Abstract: |
AB Heritage Limited was commissioned to produce a Historic Environment Desk Based Assessment to cover the site of a proposed housing development in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. The known archaeological resource within the site boundary includes remains of medieval - post medieval ridge and furrow, and undated mounds and platforms which may relate to the former Woodham Burn Farm. It has been concluded that there is a low -medium potential for the presence of previously unrecorded archaeological finds and features within the site boundary. |
