Abstract: |
Metal detector survey on land where in 1942 an Avro Lancaster crashed during a training flight. Material not related to the crash was recovered and appeared to represent a manuring scatter and the remains of broken farm machinery. Abundant remains relating to the crashed aircraft were recovered from the north corner of the field and did not appear to extend beyond the investigation area. Several bullet fragments, probably relating to the air-crash were also recovered. |
