Abstract: |
A single geotechnical borehole, located on the western side of Dock No2, the berth of HMS Victory, HM Dockyard Portsmouth, was drilled to a depth of 23m. No archaeological finds or features were encountered, but comprehensive record of the below ground deposits was obtained. Evidence for the original shoreline of Portsmouth was suggested by the data. |
