Abstract: |
A archaeological strip, map and sample took place on land at Fennel Grove, Easington, County Durham, over 18 days from the 20th September to 13th October 2017. A number of archaeological features were recorded within the excavated area, comprising an enclosure with a series of curvilinear and linear ditches, and a small concentration of pits. A small disparate collection of finds were recovered from the features, tentatively dating the enclosure to the late medieval, 12th -15th century. Tree throws and a linear field boundary were also recorded. |
