Abstract: |
Recent aerial photographs revealed two areas of earthworks, (30166 and 30165), within the present village of Mansell Lacy. The earthworks mark the outlines of a series of plots, extending south from the De Lacy castle and church. These sites strongly suggest that Mansell Lacy was a planned settlement possibly of borough status. |
