Abstract: |
Salvage recording was carried out during the excavation if the engineers' contractors of observation pits at The Art Centre, Bird Street, Lichfield. Deep waterlogged deposits were revealed, including survival of leather and wood. These deposits date back to at least the medieval period and it is possible that earlier remains survive. Further evaluation work is envisaged. |
