Abstract: |
Rapid walkover survey using GPS to assess the potential of the woodland to contain well-preserved archaeological features. The wood was walked in transects aligned roughly N-S and approx 50m-100m apart. The survey is only a sample of the woodland and should not be taken as exhaustive or its results as definitive. Features identified included woodland management features, a medieval field system, woodland boundaries and industrial features. |
