The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A strip, map and record excavation and monitoring (watching brief) in advance of a new pipeline for the Wynyard Main Reinforcement Scheme, Hartlepool. The strip, map and record excavation and watching brief areas were undertaken to expose potential archaeological remains identified by geophysical survey. The strip, map and record excavation (Area 6) recorded multiple phases of activity including the southern part of a undated but probably Bronze Age ring ditch, undated but probably Iron Age settlement activity and early medieval settlement activity. No archaeological features of significance were recorded within the watching brief area (Area 9).
