Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 29.4 hectares of agricultural land. The survey has identified former field boundaries and ridge and furrow cultivation as the only probable archaeology on the site. This suggests that the site largely has an agricultural history since the Medieval period. A number of possible archaeological anomalies have also been identified, however it is not possible to determine their origin with any degree of confidence. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern in origin, relating to underground services, agricultural activity, ferrous objects and fencing. |
