Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeology Limited on land at 39-45 Gransden Avenue, Hackney, London, E8 3QA. The fieldwork was undertaken between 10th and 14th October 2016 for Gold Section Developments. Five evaluation trenches were excavated across the site. Natural brickearth was encountered in all five trenches at varying levels of between 15.77m OD and 15.15m OD. Above the brickearth, a post-medieval sub-soil were noted in all five trenches. These were in turn capped by layers of modern made ground. |
