Abstract: |
Evaluation of the site consisting of 2 evalaution trenches opened between 3/7/2006 and 11/7/2006 which recorded deposits suggesting a pond or channel of indeterminate date, a 19th century cellar and well and two post-medieval rubbish pits. A later archaeological watching brief between 13/12/2008 and 17/12/2008 during ground reduction for the new basement recorded similar general deposits recorded in the previous evaluation. These comprised of silty clays overlain by post-medieval deposits and modern disturbance. |
