Abstract:
Border Archaeology has been commissioned by DB Planners Ltd to carry out an ADBA regarding the proposed scheme at 26 Galsworthy Road, Kingston Upon Thames. The scheme comprises the demolition and clearance of the existing dwelling and the construction of part three, part four storey residential buildings, basement car park and associated landscaping with access off Coombe Lawn Tennis Club. This ADBA assesses the impact of the proposed works on buried heritage assets (archaeological remains). It forms an initial stage of investigation of the area of proposed development (hereafter referred to as the 'site') and may be required in relation to the planning process in order that the local planning authority (LPA) can formulate an appropriate response in the light of the impact upon any known or potential buried heritage assets.
