Abstract: |
GUARD Archaeology Limited undertook an archaeological desk-top study of an area proposed for the development at Main Street, Roslin, Midlothian. The aims of the study were to assess evidence for the past human use of the area, its archaeological sensitivity, and the potential impact of any development upon the archaeological resource. he assessment found that the proposed development area has been used solely for agriculture since at least the mid eighteenth century and, aside from the installation of underground services, no development is known to have taken place on the Site since that time. |
