Abstract: |
The survey area comprised a large garden and two small fields. The nature of garden surveying is such that obstacles to survey progress are inevitable. Of the two fields in the survey area, the western field also had a number of impediments to survey. In both cases, the author concluded that, within the limits described in Section 8 of this report, sufficient data was collected to form a reasonable view of the survival of archaeological deposits and features. One magnetic anomaly group was mapped as representing potential archaeological deposits. It is likely to represent a former field boundary recorded on historic Ordnance Survey maps between 1905 and 1906 and removed by 1932-33. |
