Abstract: |
An Archaeological Evaluation on land at The White House, Ullesthorpe, Leicestershire, LE17 5BT. Four 15m x 1.6m evaluation trenches. Post medieval features were identified across the site including a 17thc cobble surface. Various post holes, pits and gullies likely to be domestic occupation relating to the core of the village. 2 Phases of exstensive landscaping were identified including the construction of level ground for a tennis court. Large amounts of redeposited material found containing animal bone associated with neighbouring slaughterhouse. |
