Abstract: |
Border Archaeology was commissioned by Markey Builders to undertake an archaeological evaluation on land adjacent to Seymour Place, Prior's Park, Tewkesbury. Twelve trenches were located within the two areas of the proposed development. The evaluation failed to locate any evidence of medieval activity. Although two sherds of medieval green-glaze pottery were located within the topsoil in Area B, no trace of any archaeological deposits earlier than the 20th century were found. The majority of the deposits were of 20th century date and appear to be related to rubbish dumping. |
