Abstract: |
John Moore Heritage Services conducted a watching brief during the excavation of several geotechnical pits. Medieval pits were found cut into the top of terrace gravel deposits. A 15th or 16th century building was found. This had been partly dismantled and covered by material probably excavated for the cellars of the Peckwater Quad buildings. Layers and features associated with later use of the area as gardens were found. |
