Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in February 2017 at 3 to 5 Queen Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Two trenches were excavated. Surfaces of Roman date, likely to be associated with a portico on the southern side of Ermin Street separating insula VIII and IX and a yard surface, were encountered at the limit of excavation in both trenches. These were overlain by successive soil horizons of post- Roman date. |
