Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology between April and May 2019 at Avon Fire Authority HQ Site, Temple Back, Bristol. Three trenches were excavated. A possible medieval ditch and wall were identified within the central-western part of the site. Post-medieval structural remains were identified within two of the excavated trenches. These structures may relate to residential or industrial buildings depicted by historic mapping. A significant degree of modern truncation was evident within the site, and modern made-ground sealed the archaeological remains throughout. |
