Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in October and November 2017 at Land off Moulsham Lane, Yateley. Forty-one trenches were excavated. The evaluation revealed evidence of prehistoric pottery and a flint flake. These were likely residual in nature and indicative of transient, seasonal activity. This clearly reflects the known prehistoric activity within the wider environs of the site. The majority of the archaeological evidence from the evaluation consisted of ditches, pits and postholes from which no dating evidence was recovered. Where dating evidence was recovered it dated to the medieval period. |
