Abstract: |
An archaeological trial trench evaluation comprising thirty-four trenches on the land north of Brigg Road, Messingham. Very few archaeological features were identified, although a ditch towards the centre of the field produced a large slag block which is either of Iron Age or Saxon date. A substantial field drain system was also identified. |
