Abstract: |
Archaeology South-East (ASE), the contracting division of the Centre for Applied Archaeology (CAA), Institute of Archaeology (IoA), University College London (UCL) were commissioned by CgMs Consulting to undertake an archaeological evaluation of the Former HMP Latchmere House, Church Road, London Borough of Richmond. Pleistocene fluvial sands were encountered at 8.19mOD at the southern end of the site and 8.68mOD at the northern end of site with underlying Kempton park gravels, except in trench 1 where the gravels were encountered at 8.29mOD. No archaeological features or finds were encountered during the archaeological evaluation. |
