Abstract: |
Archaeological excavations on site found evidence of activity spanning over three millennia, from the Middle Neolithic to the Late Bronze Age and Iron Age. The presence of a series of ditches, and a droveway, in the Later Prehistoric, would suggest that the area was being used for rural activity. There is no evidence on site of a settlement. Despite the moderate survival of archaeology, the vast majority of features were undated, which does not allow for more discreet phasing. |
