Abstract: |
During September 1999 the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England (RCHME) carried out an archaeological survey and investigation of Old Hall Marshes located at the mouth of the Blackwater Estuary in Essex. The survey recorded an ancient landscape both of late medieval and post medieval enclosure and also of Iron Age and Roman salt production. (This was report number 18/2000 in a previous series) |
