Abstract:		 This document represents an investigation of the potential for archaeological remains on land at Hall Green and Stone Cross, West Bromwich (NGR SP 01000 94400). Historically the parish was in the county of Staffordshire, but subsequent boundary changes and the creation of metropolitan authorities has meant that this is now in Sandwell Borough Council. The site has been extensively damaged by gravel extraction and it is debatable whether any previous land surfaces survive, let alone any archaeology in them.
