Abstract: |
Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd was appointed by Robert Day to undertake an archaeological watching brief during ground works at 12 High Street, Lymington, Hampshire. This report concerns the results of the watching brief, which comprised of monitoring of ground reduction across the site on the 20th and 25th of March 2019. The ground investigations revealed a general sequence for the Site, with layer of modern soil capping layerd of post medieval made ground, which in turn was above natural clays and gravels. No significant archaeological remains were encountered during the course of the watching brief. |
