Abstract: |
A Historic Building Survey was carried out by ULAS in November 2018 of a boundary wall at North St West, Uppingham. Proposed redevelopment proposals involve the partial re-building and re-alignment of a stretch of this wall, which is Grade II listed as integral to a 17th century barn. The barn will be subject to survey at a later date. The survey, together with cartographic evidence, show that the stretch of wall east of the barn was probably originally the north wall of a building now demolished, and that the stretch west of the barn has undergone multiple construction/repair phases. |
