Abstract: |
Archaeological trial-trenching in advance of residential development at The White House, Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch, Essex revealed disturbed ground and numerous artefacts most of which consisted of ceramic building material and pieces of modern glass and pottery. Cut features were present, but were few in number and modern. The earliest remains composed sherds of 18th to 20th century pottery. The results of the trenching suggest that much of the site has been much disturbed within the recent past. |
