Abstract:		 Archaeology South-East was commissioned by CgMs Consulting to undertake an archaeological watching brief at the Peabody Estate, Glamis Place, Shadwell, London Borough of Tower Hamlets between the 16th of August and 29th of September, 2016. The site ground works consisted of the landscaping of the courtyard area for flower beds and a new playground. The watching brief revealed a series of walls that corresponded with a historical plan of the air raid shelters constructed in the early 20th century inside the courtyard of the estate.
