Abstract: |
John Moore Heritage Services carried out a thirteen trench field evaluation on land west of Fawler Road, Uffington, Oxfordshire (NGR SU 30799 89110 centred). The field had ridge and furrow earthworks in the southern area and land division earthworks to the north. The evaluation trenches confirmed these earthworks, and further evidence of land use in the medieval period onwards. A possible Iron Age ditch was identified in Trench 6. |
