Abstract: |
Archaeology South-East was commissioned by Southern Water to undertake an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with the sinking of a new borehole at Gore Water Supply Works, Hartlip Hill, Kent (NGR 584221 165289). Mechanical ground reduction of an area measuring c.60m by c.20m was monitored. No archaeological deposits or features were recorded, but a limited assemblage of flintwork was recovered from the topsoil. |
