Abstract: |
Central Bedfordshire Council - Housing Service is gathering information in support of a planning application for the construction of two residential properties and associated access at 56 Streatley Road, Sundon, Bedfordshire. As the proposed development area is situated in an area of archaeological potential, the Central Bedfordshire Council Archaeological Officer advised that any planning application should be accompanied by a Heritage Statement, based on the results of an archaeological field evaluation. Archaeological trial trenching took place and three trenches were excavated, targeting the footprint of the proposed development. A pit and ditch of post-medieval/modern date as well as a modern pit were identified. |
