Abstract:		 Archaeology South-East was commissioned by 4Delivery Limited (4D) on behalf of Southern Water to undertake an archaeological watching brief during the excavation of test pits along the route of a proposed pipeline to the east of Twyford, Hampshire (NGR 449240 124864 to 449216 124200).The watching brief took place on 28th April 2009. No archaeological deposits, features or artefacts were encountered during the watching brief monitoring of the trial-pits. Natural geology comprising natural chalk bedrock was recorded between 0.25m and 0.35m below ground surface.
