Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at site name, location, county (NGR SP 05358 57975). It was commissioned by Mr R McGonigal on behalf of Mrs Beverley Hamflett, in advance of a proposed stable construction. Planning permission has been granted subject to a programme of archaeological works. The site is located to the North of Cookhill Farm, which stands on the west side of the A441 (The Ridgeway), at the southern end of the village of Cookhill. The site comprises of four evaluation trenches within a single field. This is the first archaeological work to take place on the site. The trenches were laid out in a simple grid. No features or finds of interest were located. |
