The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A geophysical (magnetometer) survey, covering approximately 2.5 hectares, was carried out on agricultural land at Lanes Farm, Hemsworth, West Yorkshire. The survey was undertaken prior to the proposed development of the site. Across the scheme, anomalies characterised as geological and agricultural in origin have been identified along with a possible former stream to the east of the survey area. Clusters of pit-type responses have been detected which may be indicative of settlement, but no patterns within the responses can be made and therefore a possible archaeological origin has been given. Therefore the archaeological potential of this scheme of work is considered to be low to medium across the site.
